Wolf Pack Athletics Virtual Golf Tournament

Please join us from October 15 to November 8, 2020, for Loyola's first-ever virtual golf tournament! Wolf Pack alumni, family, and friends across the country are invited to participate by playing at their favorite local golf course. Mini golfers are welcome to join in the fun as well!

All proceeds from this tournament will go towards individual teams and general operating funds for the athletics department. We appreciate your willingness to support the Wolf Pack in this creative, non-traditional format, and we hope you enjoy this event with the national Loyola community!

Entry Fees:
Single Player - $100: Includes tournament registration and a player gift.*
Young Alumni Single Player - $50: Includes tournament registration and a player gift.* All Loyola graduates from the Class of 2010 and later are eligible for the Young Alumni rate.
Mini Golf Team - $25: Includes tournament registration and one mini St. Ignatius charm.*
FORE! Pack Foursome- $450: Includes registration fees and a gift for four players, a virtual hole sponsor sign, and four mulligans.*
Fee does not include the cost of green fees at your local golf course or the local mini golf ticket price.

How it Works:
Each player will receive their tournament gift box at the mailing address provided at registration. Participants will use a traditional scramble format to determine their score and will submit their score via email when they complete their round. Teams are allowed to send in multiple scorecards if they wish to play more than once. (Details for mini golf participants are available in the "Mini Golfers" section below).

Tournament Rules:
Scorecards: Submit your score by sending a picture of your scorecard for a full 18-hole round* to alumni@loyno.edu between Oct. 15 and Nov. 8. Par 72 courses are recommended. *No par 3 or executive (short) courses allowed. 
Mini Golfers: The player who registers their mini golf team for the tournament will receive a mini St. Ignatius charm shipped to the address provided at the time of registration. For the cost of one Mini Golf Team registration, a team of any size may submit a photo of their scorecard to be entered into a raffle for a laser tag and mini golf gift card.
Scramble format: Players can play as two-, three- or four-person teams. Each team member will tee off each hole, the team will then select the best shot, and all team members hit their next shots from that position. This process is repeated for each shot until the ball is holed.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place: Winners will be determined by the team’s score in relation to par of the course (ie., how many strokes under par). Tournament prizes will be awarded to all participants on the teams who place first, second and third.
Tie: In the instance of a tie, we will do a virtual coin flip. In the event of a three- or four-way tie, we will draw names.
Bogey is your friend: Bogey is the maximum score you can get each hole.
Tee Box: Men 59 and younger will play from the middle tees, and men 60 and older will play from the forward or senior tees. Women will play from the ladies' tee box. If your handicap is 10 or less please play from the back tees.
Relief: For each shot, players are allowed to move the ball one club length anywhere (not including on or around the green).

Fun Prizes and Other Ways to Support:
Closest to the Pin: Snap a photo of your tee shot on the first “par 3” and send it in with a distance estimate, or tag us on social media @LoyolaWolfPack for a chance to win closest to the pin.
Farthest Drive From NOLA: The participant with the farthest address from New Orleans wins a prize!
Best Team Photo: Be creative! Snap a photo of your team and email it to us or tag us on social media @LoyolaWolfPack for a chance to win a prize.
Best Looking Mask: Nearly all clubhouses require a mask. Send us a picture of you wearing a great mask in the clubhouse and you could win a Loyola Wolf Pack branded mask.
Last Place: That's right, we even have a prize for last place. Our head golf coach has generously donated one free lesson to the team that comes in last.
Support a Student-Athlete: Each participant will have the option to pay $1 per hole and a little extra on the 19th hole ($19.12 for Loyola’s founding year) at the time of registration to increase their support for Loyola student athletes. If all members of a team make the additional contribution, the team receives a one-stroke reduction to their final score.
Mulligans: Mulligans can be purchased for $10 at the time of registration. Maximum two mulligans per player.

Group Rates & Sponsorship Opportunities
Title Sponsor - $5,000: Includes your logo on all tournament press releases, emails, registration website, and the tournament leaderboard page. Plus, your logo on the Wolf Pack Athletics website for one year.
Gold Sponsor - $2,500: Includes your logo on the registration website, tournament leaderboard page, special social media recognition, registration fees and gift for four players, virtual hole sponsor sign, eight mulligans, and a one-stroke reduction to your team's final score.
VIP Foursome - $1,000: Includes a Loyola Under Armour pullover for each player, registration fees and gift for four players, a virtual hole sponsor sign, eight mulligans, and a one-stroke reduction to your team's final score. 
FORE! Pack Foursome- $450: Includes registration fees and a gift for four players, a virtual hole sponsor sign, and four mulligans.
Virtual Hole Sponsor- $100: We will recognize one hole sponsor on social media each day of the tournament.
